Trans activist Nayyab Ali wins GALAS International Activist Award

Nayyab Ali was announced as the recipient of the GALAS International Activist Award at a ceremony in Dublin, on Saturday, Feb 8, 2020. The award, presented by the National LGBT Federation (NXF), recognises the contribution of an international LGBT+ activist, from outside of Ireland, who works tirelessly to promote the full equality and inclusion of LGBT+ people in society. Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government lauded for providing safe environment to transgender community at hospitals

July 31, 2019 Transgender rights organizations Blue Veins and TransAction (Provincial Alliance of Transgender Community) appreciated Health Department of Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) for fulfilling their long awaited demand of allocating separate wards for transgender community. Nayyab Ali – first trans-woman, elected co-chairperson of EVAW/G Alliance

July 2019, Islamabad: Ms Nayyab Ali has been elected new co-chairperson of the National Chapter of the Ending Violence against Women/Girls Alliance for a two-year term. CIEP and partners launch new project TRANSition

CEIP recently launched their TRANSition project with partners; The Gender Guardian and Go Green Welfare Society. The launching event took place on 17th August at Hotel Pearl Continental, Lahore. Proposed Domestic Violence Bill in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa will also address intimate partner violence among transgender
